How can we help at this stage?

Common questions from admission to campus life
Answers are simplified from official EMU prospective-student information. Conditions that vary by country, program and intake should be reconfirmed before application.
01Admission
How can an international student apply to EMU?
Apply to an appropriate associate, bachelor’s or postgraduate program through the OnCampusHub system. OnCampusHub offers free program, form and file guidance; EMU makes the admission decision.
Is an entrance examination required?
This depends on the program, level, school system and qualifications. Some programs may require an exam, portfolio, interview or special condition; check current criteria.
Can I apply without proof of English?
Submit valid proof if available. Students without an accepted exemption may be placed through EMU’s current testing or preparatory-education rules.
02Documents
What are the basic undergraduate documents?
Usually a secondary-school certificate, transcript, passport or birth-certificate copy, photograph and any English proof are requested. Additional documents may apply.
Do my documents need English translations?
EMU’s official undergraduate page requires English translations for documents in other languages. Confirm translation, certification and original-document rules before registration.
Can I apply with copies and bring originals later?
Readable copies may be used for online assessment; originals, certified copies or verification may be required for final registration. Prepare them before travel.
03Transfer and exemptions
Can I transfer from another university?
You may apply to a suitable program. Admission and transferred credits depend on transcript, course descriptions, credits/hours, grades and departmental review.
Which extra transfer documents are needed?
Detailed course descriptions, proof of student status and possibly disciplinary/withdrawal documents may be requested alongside the transcript.
How many courses will be exempted?
No exact number can be guaranteed before academic review. The relevant unit assesses equivalence course by course, and the result may be finalized at registration.
04Scholarships and fees
Are scholarships available to international students?
Partial tuition awards may be available under EMU’s current system; full awards are limited and competitive. The official admission/award letter gives the result.
Does a scholarship cover housing and other costs?
It usually applies to the stated share of tuition. Housing, meals, insurance, registration or other items are included only if the award explicitly says so.
Does my scholarship continue automatically?
Continuation may depend on renewal, academic status, maximum period, discipline and scholarship rules. Check the award and current rules each term.
05Accommodation
Is on-campus housing available?
Different dormitory and nearby accommodation options exist. Room types, services, fees and availability change; compare current options after admission.
When should I reserve a dormitory?
Research early once admission and intake are clear. Confirm booking date, deposit, cancellation/refund and check-in terms in writing before paying.
Should I choose a private flat or dormitory?
Compare budget, campus distance, furnishings, bills, contract and lifestyle. A serviced dormitory may simplify the first arrival for some students.
06Student life
Is there orientation for new international students?
EMU may organize campus and Famagusta tours, seminars and social events during orientation. Check the current program near the start of term.
How can I join student clubs?
Academic, cultural, international, social and sports societies operate on campus. Follow club fairs and contact the relevant society or student-activities unit.
Who helps with residence, health and daily procedures?
Student, international and related support units provide current guidance. OnCampusHub helps you reach the right office; students remain responsible for official deadlines.
This FAQ is not a binding admission or legal document. Admission, documents, scholarships, exemptions, housing, fees, visa and residence rules may change; current EMU notices and relevant North Cyprus authority rules prevail.
